This short animated film tells a story from my mum’s childhood when her pet chicken was served as dinner. A recorded interview with my mother forms the main narrative of this animation.

The aesthetic of this film is heavily influenced by the style of cartoons such as ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ that feature expressive bold colours and character designs as well as a comic style. The overall animation is composed using a paper puppet/puppet theatre-like style using digital post-production techniques to achieve a 2.5-dimensional look.
